What happens to someone when they see their world unfold before their eyes, and not even have the power to alter it? To have to hide and flee, knowing the family she had was left behind, buying time for her to escape with their lives?

 

At age 12, she was a Princess-In-Training, next in line for her Parents' Kingdom. Her worries were to remember the proper greetings and politically-correct comments to say when in public. To be sure she ate properly. Walked always with her chin high.

 

Now, she was left with living out on her own, attempting to find the proper place to stay for the night. How to distract a cart owner in the Market so that at the right moment she could steal her dinner. How to avoid the thieves that she was competing with. And, most importantly, keeping a step ahead of those that ended her Father, Mother, and her Royal Lifestyle and all those within it.

 

Having now been adopted by someone who feels she can protect her, will Lenora manage to settle in a new home and trust the new faces around her?
